Attention Massage, Beauty, Spa Therapists & Members of the Public!

Are you familiar with the profoundly relaxing, pain relieving, therapeutic action on the body and mind of hot stone therapy?

How would you like to learn to help your clients not only to look, but feel better - and to get certified to do so, with a potential to substantially boost your income?

Would you like to learn about an even more powerful way to use hot stones - by adding one of the most powerful natural relaxants to the treatment?

I have a little story to tell you...

About 18 years ago I learned about wonders of applying hot stones on a tired, tense body. I started reading about it and became so interested that I signed up for a course to learn to do it myself.

As it happens, during the training sessions we had to practise on each other and when my turn came and I first felt the energy of hot stones on my body it felt like heaven - especially considering my level of stress and tension at the time.

My therapists were students just like me, and sometimes the stones were a bit hot and uncomfortable, but despite the little hiccups I started using every opportunity to have the treatment done on me.

A few years later I started learning about benefits of magnesium, especially transdermal uses of its salts. Magnesium oil became my favourite remedy for stress, tension, muscle pain, insomnia, headache and more.

Then one day I decided to try using hot stones and magnesium together on one of my clients who had a really bad case of muscle tension. I applied magnesium oil on the client's skin and started massaging her with the warmed up stones.

The effect was amazing. Not only it helped to considerably reduce the tension - the client started feeling relaxed to the point of falling asleep. She liked the treatment so much that she started booking it regularly. This made me think - why not offer it to others? And perhaps teach others to do it?

I started writing about it describing benefits of hot stones and transdermal magnesium applications and how they could be combined together. This was how the idea for the course came to my mind. It was just too good to keep it to myself!

Have you ever experienced back and muscle pain, cramps, joint pain?

Or perhaps poor sleep, chronic fatigue, anxiety have been a problem?

Have you tried mainstream approach, only to see that it has very limited effect?

Are you aware that many of our health problems are due to magnesium deficiency?

Do you know that as many as 85% of people are catastrophically deficient in this vital mineral, and this leads not only to aches, pains, cramps and chronic anxiety, but to much more serious issues?

Have you ever heard about magnesium oil and how it can help relieve these problems?

Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency

  • Energy - its production slows down. Magnesium is a vital component in energy production.
  • Cramps - magnesium is needed to keep our muscles relaxed.
  • Stress, anxiety - magnesium is the most potent natural relaxant for the nervous system.
  • Depression - magnesium is needed for the production of serotonin – “the happiness hormone”.
  • Muscle & joints aches and pain - magnesium helps to keep muscles and other tissues supple and relaxed. When they are tense, they start aching.
  • Inflammations – the body responds to magnesium deficiency in the tissues by fighting back with inflammations.
  •  Osteoporosis (brittle bones) - magnesium is needed for the absorption of calcium b the bones. Calcium alone will never be able to make our bones healthy.
  • Body stiffness - magnesium deficiency leads to calcification of body tissues and poor mobility.
  • Skin ageing process speeds up - magnesium is needed for the production of collagen and elastin to keep it supple.
  • Hypertension and heart disease - this happens due to deposition of calcium in the arteries, since magnesium regulates the amount of calcium in the blood.
  • Build up of lactic acid - magnesium helps to keep the body’s optimal pH level. This results in decreased immunity and many diseases, including cancer.
  • Kidney and bladder stone formation due to excessive amounts of calcium in the blood which is not utilised by the bones.
  • Asthma symptoms worsen - due to constriction of airways. Magnesium helps to keep them supple and dilated.
Production of energy slows down. Magnesium is a vital component in energy production.

We get cramps. Magnesium is needed to keep our muscles relaxed.

We get stressed and anxious. Magnesium is the most potent natural relaxant for nerve cells.

We get depressed. Magnesium is needed for the production of serotonin – “the happiness hormone”.

We get aches and pain in the muscles and joints. Magnesium helps to keep the muscles and other tissues supple and relaxed. When they are tense, they start aching.

We develop inflammations – the body responds to magnesium deficiency in the tissues by fighting back with inflammations.

We develop calcium deficiency which may lead to all sorts of problem – Osteoporosis is one of them. Magnesium is needed to ensure absorption of calcium. When there is not enough magnesium, calcium doesn’t get absorbed from the blood into the bones.

We become stiff all over. Magnesium deficiency leads to calcification of body tissues and poor mobility.

We age quickly. The tissues under the skin  needs magnesium to be supple. If they don’t receive enough magnesium, they shrink. This results in wrinkles. Also, the skin needs magnesium for the production of collagen and elastin – the substances which keep the skin looking young.

Our arteries become blocked, due to deposition of calcium in them, since magnesium regulates the amount of calcium in the blood. This leads to hypertension and heart disease.

The body becomes acidic. Magnesium helps to keep the body’s optimal pH level (it is an alkalising element). This results in decreased immunity, and cancer cell proliferation.

We start forming kidney, bladder, gall bladder stones, due to excessive amounts of calcium in the blood which is not utilised by the bones.

The Role of the Skin in Using the Therapy

Why supplement magnesium through the skin?
  • The skin has 2 very important roles in the body - absorb and excrete. So it absorbs the minerals it needs excreting what it doesn't.
  • Not everybody can utilise magnesium supplements. So people have side-effects from it, such as an upset stomach, bloatedness and diarrhoea. This means that a large percentage of it passes through the body without doing us any good.
  • The skin absorbs magnesium via the process called “osmosis” delivering it to the body tissues via a very effective network of blood vessels.
  • So a magnesium salt applied on the skin will deliver a lot more magnesium to the body tissues in a much shorter time than a supplement taken orally.
  • When hot stones are used on the skin the heat helps to open up pores thus improving its penertability for magnesium ions. This speeds up the process of magnesium supplementation, relaxation, pain and tension relief.
The skin is a wonderful organ which contains a huge number of pores, as well as blood vessels and nerve receptors. This enables it to be a “living sponge”, absorbing minute particles into itself, and into the blood stream. Magnesium salts consist of ions of magnesium and either chloride or sulphate – depending on the salt used.

The digestive tract, on the other hand, becomes compromised over the years. Absorption of nutrients and minerals happens mostly in the intestines which contain minute receptors. These receptors become clogged up with all sorts of impurities as we grow older, which impedes absorption, and this includes magnesium supplements.

Also, magnesium is a relaxant, and apart from other tissues, it relaxes the digestive tract, and the stool. This means that quite a large part of the magnesium taken orally comes out of the body unabsorbed.

On the other hand, the skin does its work really well, absorbing magnesium via the process called “osmosis” and delivering it to the body tissues via a very effective network of blood vessels. So a magnesium salt applied on the skin will deliver a lot more magnesium to the body tissues in a much shorter time than a supplement taken orally.

What Is Hot Stone Mineral Therapy Course?

  • Hot Stone Mineral Therapy is a course which looks at how magnesium salts and hot stones work to create an environment which improves the ability of the body to rebalance itself and deal with various health issues.
  • Theoughout the training you will learn health benefits of both magnesium and hot stone therapy and how combining the two can speed up recovery from aches, pain, stress-related conditions and much more.
  • Hot Stone Mineral Therapy involves a complex of methods performed in a therapy environment. You are free to do it at home but will probably need help using hot stones over the parts of your body you won't be able to reach.
  • A therapist is trained to evaluate symptoms of magnesium deficiency, suitability of a client for magnesium supplementation and heat which comes when hot stones are used. They will also learn when to refer a client for a medical assessment.  The main focus will be on how to implementat various methods of boosting magnesium levels in the body using magnesium salts and hot stones.
  • A combination of home and clinic applications of magnesium salts helps to maintain magnesium levels at an optimal level.
Transdermal Magnesium Therapy involves a complex of mostly home-based treatments, such as magnesium baths, foot baths, compresses, massage, applying magnesium oil by hand and spraying it all over the body. Local applications of magnesium wraps using far infrared can also be safely done at home.

However, we also train therapists in Transdermal Magnesium Therapy treatments. A therapist could suggest a course of magnesium massage treatments to the client at their clinic, while at the same time the client can do some of the treatments (baths, foot baths, compresses) at home throughout the course. This will help to achieve a faster result with much more impact than simply a session of magnesium massage once or twice a week.
